Can I change the background of Google Calendar?
Not with Google Calendar’s own settings — it only offers light, dark and event colors. Custom Calendar Background is a Chrome extension that adds what’s missing: a photo, a set of monthly images or a color gradient behind the calendar, while keeping all your events readable.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Images you add are resized and stored only inside your own browser (Chrome’s extension storage). They are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else’s.
Will other people see my background?
No. The background only changes how Google Calendar looks in your own browser. Your calendar, events and anyone you share them with are not affected.
Does it work with Google Calendar’s dark mode?
Yes. The extension detects whether Google Calendar is in light or dark mode and switches its readability layer automatically. You can also force light or dark if you prefer.
What permissions does it need?
At install it only asks for storage (to remember your settings and images) and runs only on calendar.google.com. If you choose to unlock Pro, you sign in with Google so we can link your plan to your email address — nothing else is requested.
Does it work on my phone or the Google Calendar app?
It works in desktop Chrome (Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS). Browser extensions can’t change the Google Calendar mobile apps.
Can I use Pro on more than one computer?
Yes. Pro is linked to the Gmail address you sign in with, so it works on every computer where you install the extension and sign in with the same account.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel a subscription at any time from “Manage subscription” in the extension settings; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If you’re not happy, email us within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund.
